I came across the illustration below while surfing the web. Not surprisingly Linus Tovalds is considered the number one programmer in the history of computer programming – I am fine with that choice considering his accomplishments. Ada Lovelace is #11 – is this a legacy selection or was she really an uber programmer like the rest? So this begs the question: base on what metrics?
