Ok, just switched to hexo. Basically, jekyll was simply too much of a pain in the rear to maintain. Maybe laziness on my part, or perhaps a reflection on my lack of interest in ruby.
Luckily, I did not have to perform to much surgery to get my old _post/* files to cooperate. In fact, I had to do very little to be precise. All that was needed was nodejs which I already have and installing hexo was npm install hexo. I install GeekPlux‘s typing theme. To get the GitHub pages integration working was a little tricky.
Remarkably, hexo looks really good on mobile devices, too.
BL: Whatever! I am happier (for now) with hexo. Let’s see for how long…
